let's get a move on.

I am going to be 30 in a couple of months and I feel that I have nothing to show for it. When I was in high school, I thought that by this age I would be touring with a band and living somewhere on the left/right coast. Right now I feel stuck in a rut. I know I need to challenge my mind. I need to do something. But it feels like I can't; hence the name of my blog. The something that I would like to do would involve tech and working for myself. It's just a matter of knowing where to start.

Weird Kinko's Stories

I've had various jobs in my life and none were stranger then my tenure at Kinko's.   So many stories from that place. And the customers...good God, the customers.

There was this particular customer who came into the store one night. She brought in one of those funeral programs.  You know the ones with the picture of the deceased and beneath it the date of their birth followed by the year of their death. I thought she wanted to use it as a reference to create a brand new one.  I was wrong. She wanted me to change the death date to the (then) current year. Apparently, the old lady had been sick and close to death. The family, instead of waiting for her to die, made the funeral program/arrangements. But the woman lived....for 4 more years. I'd like to think that the old lady lived just to spite her family.  Anyway, that's just one of them. Many more to come.
